How does an interior ceramic coating work? An interior is painted and clear coated just like the exterior. It is a vinyl dye and clear coat. the coating bonds to the top layer (clear coat) of the interior leather and plastic.
A new top layer is created once the coating fully cures. This new layer still allows dirt to lay on all of the surfaces but they will not become stuck. Interiors are static charged. as a result the dirt and dust will become "stuck" to all of the plastic. the interior coating eliminates this static charge. It leaves the plastic and leather with a silky feeling.
In a sense, an interior ceramic coating is a tool that allows the interior to be cleaned with much greater ease and speed. Much like a battery powered drill makes putting up a wall easier and in less time compared to the old hand-crank style drill.
An interior ceramic coating will pay for itself over time. You will pay less per interior detail based on the fact that it is much easier to clean. We have a menu exclusively for those with an ceramic coated interior with a reduced fixed rate as compared to a non-ceramic coated interior.
This coating is applied by hand after thoroughly detailing the interior. It takes 30 days to fully cure. During this time, the vehicle can be driven as normal. The fabric carpet and floor mats are also ceramic coated. The fabric is sprayed with a fabric coating that bonds to the material and preventing the dirt/liquid from bonding to the actual fabric. It will instead bond to the coating. you may still see stains but they will be reduced and easy to clean up.
